I took this photo in July of 2009 in Ketchikan, Alaska. A few years later, we returned to Ketchikan only to find out that the dogs and their owner had moved on and that the building was being renovated. These dogs were celebrities as they were always looking out the window at the tourists below and photographed my many. Size 20 1/2″ x 34″

On November 14, 2012 Kool in Ketchikan appeared on the front pages of the Ketchikan Daily News.  The title reads; Dog quilt radiates “kool”.    2009 photograph moves tourist to pick up needle and thread.  This quilt made it to Houston Quilt Fest for a special exhibit.
