Using Gloria Loughman’s tile technique for the background, this quilt was made for a challenge for our local art quilt group.  The challenge was called “Something with a Hole”.  An original design adapted from a photo I took of our ailing Fuji apple tree.  Holding my breath,  a burning tool was used to burn a hole in the apple after the entire piece was completed.  Finished size 38″ x 31″
